An animated look at your favorite dinosaurs, fossils, paleontology and the study of evolution.

DinosaurDays is an animated learning app for kids aged 5-11 and can be used at home or at school, individually or in a group. Each short animated film about these mysterious, ancient creatures goes into detail about how they lived, what they ate, how they developed and how they were discovered.

We look at the three ages of the dinosaur era – the Triassic, which was when the first dinosaurs appeared, around 220 million years ago, the Jurassic, when the biggest land creatures roamed the earth and the Cretaceous which was around 65 million years ago, the last phase with some of the most interesting dinosaurs we know about. Also, we learn about Fossils: what they are, how they are formed and how they are dug up again. We learn about Evolution, which is how dinosaurs – and all creatures for that matter - change over time. And we learn about Paleontology, which is the study of fossils and the history of life on earth.

DinosaurDays The app is free to download with the option of purchasing additional material to fill the sections with films: you can download films about one particular dinosaur, an entire time period or purchase the complete app. Each dinosaur has a factsheet, which can be downloaded, and a “fossil finder” feature which shows where each creature was discovered in a real-time map. Teachers have access to worksheets, quizzes, glossary and the bibliography as well as an extensive teacher’s guide to using the material in the classroom, or for homeschoolers, the home.
